Verified-active OCILB counts by trade
These trade counts use ProFix directory tags on contractors whose OCILB overlay status is active. A contractor can carry multiple tags, so the rows are not mutually exclusive.

Methodology
This page calls loadPros() and filters the public contractor roster to Lucas, Wood, Fulton, Henry, Ottawa, Sandusky, Hancock, Seneca, Defiance, Williams, Paulding, Putnam, and Van Wert counties. It then counts all public rows, counts rows whose verifiedLicense source is OCILB and whose normalized status is active, and joins county populations from COUNTIES.population2026.
The OCILB source is the official Ohio eLicense GenerateRoster export. OCILB licenses only five statewide credential types for commercial construction work: electrical, HVAC, hydronics, plumbing, and refrigeration. Roofing, concrete, tree service, appliance repair, and many other residential service categories are still legitimate directory listings, but they do not have an OCILB credential to count here.
Density is computed as count divided by population2026, multiplied by 1,000. When a population value is unavailable, the density cell renders as n/a instead of filling a guess.

Limits
This is not a complete census of every working contractor in Northwest Ohio. It is a reproducible density view of the current ProFix public roster, with the OCILB portion tied to official board-active records as of 2026-06-16. Use the linked source feeds and each contractor profile's live board lookup before treating a license status as current.
