Refund policy

One page. Concrete rules. No gotchas.

TL;DR

24 hours, no questions. Every paid lead and every paid contractor product carries an automatic 24-hour refund window. Reply to the receipt email, click the in-app cancel button, or email billing@profixdirectory.com within 24 hours of purchase and we refund the full amount, no questions asked.

Per-lead purchases

When a contractor purchases a homeowner lead through ProFix Directory, the following applies:

  • 24-hour automatic refund. Full refund for any reason if requested within 24 hours of purchase. No phone call, no retention conversation, no fine print.
  • Bad contact information. If the homeowner's phone number is disconnected, the email bounces, or the address doesn't exist — full refund any time, even after 24 hours.
  • Out-of-scope job. If the lead came in tagged "plumbing" but the actual work is roofing (or vice versa), full refund.
  • Duplicate of an existing customer. If the homeowner is already an active customer of yours (your CRM proves it), full refund.
  • "They didn't pick me." Not refundable. The lead is a real homeowner with a real job. Not every conversation closes.

Contractor claim purchases

When a contractor claims their listing to add photos, hours, or verified status:

  • 30-day money-back guarantee. Full refund within 30 days of the initial claim payment for any reason.
  • License revoked or business closed. If your Ohio license is revoked or your business is dissolved, full refund and free listing removal.
  • Cancel anytime. If on a recurring plan, cancel from your dashboard before the next billing cycle and pay nothing more.

How to request a refund

  1. 1. From your receipt email. Every Stripe receipt has a "Cancel and refund" link in the footer. One click.
  2. 2. From your contractor dashboard. Each purchase row has a Refund button while eligible.
  3. 3. Email billing@profixdirectory.com. Include the receipt number or the email used for purchase. We reply within one business day.

Refunds are processed back to the original payment method via Stripe. Card refunds typically appear within 5-10 business days; bank transfers may take longer depending on your bank.

Disputes and chargebacks

We'd much rather refund you directly than fight a chargeback. If you ever feel a charge is wrong, email us first — we will issue a full refund inside 24 hours in any case where the policy above applies. Chargebacks initiated without first contacting billing@profixdirectory.com may result in temporary suspension of the contractor account while the bank investigates.

Open dataset and free tools

ProFix Directory's open dataset, MCP server, homeowner tools, and all directory browsing are free for everyone. There is no payment associated with these, so no refund applies.
