Correction policy
Who reviews: Every correction is reviewed by the ProFix Editorial Team. We do not delegate review to contractors, advertisers, or third parties. The reviewer cross-checks the reported field against the authoritative source listed in our methodology and either accepts, refines, or rejects the correction in writing.
What gets corrected vs amended: A correction is issued when a published fact was wrong at the time of publishing (e.g. a typo in a phone number, a misattributed license). An amendment is issued when a fact has changed since publishing (e.g. a contractor moved address, a license lapsed). Both ship within one business day of verification; both are logged in the register below.
Retraction policy: If a published claim cannot be supported by any authoritative source after re-verification, the claim is removed entirely and the page is re-rendered without it. A retraction entry is added to the register noting what was removed and why. We never silently delete published content.
Response time: Correction acknowledged within 24 hours weekdays. Verified corrections published within one business day. Complex cases (license disputes, court-record ambiguity) may take longer; we communicate the timeline in writing.
