ProFix Directory reports

Automated weekly and monthly recaps of what ProFix Directory shipped, which Ohio research we published, and which contractors pulled the most permits — refreshed daily, sourced from the same public feeds anyone can hit.

TL;DR

What lives here

  • Weekly recap — every changelog entry and research article ProFix published in the last 7 days, with editorial context when there's a coherent theme.
  • Monthly permit recap — the top contractors in Ohio by verified building permits pulled in the last 30 days, with by-trade and by-county breakdowns.
  • Honest about empty windows — quiet weeks get reported as quiet weeks. No padding, no manufactured news.
Weekly

This week

Last 7 days at ProFix Directory — every changelog entry grouped by type, every research article published, and a short editorial paragraph when the week has a coherent theme. Refreshes daily at build time.

Monthly

Permits this month

Last 30 days of Ohio contractor permit activity — top 25 by permit count, top 3 per trade, top 3 per county (Lucas, Cuyahoga, Franklin, Hamilton). Synthetic + live pools combined with an honest methodology note.

Cadence

How often the recaps refresh

Each recap is a static page that rebuilds at most once per day — fast for AI crawlers, RSS readers, and homeowners alike. The window is rolling, not calendar-aligned: the weekly recap on any given day covers the prior 7 days, and the monthly permit report on any given day covers the prior 30 days. The benefit of rolling windows is that an empty Monday is just as honest as a packed Friday — there is no marketing pressure to invent a "week of" narrative when nothing actually shipped. The cost is that the weekly recap is not bookmarkable as a long-term archive page; for that, every changelog entry has a permanent home at /newsroom and every research article has a permanent home at /research/<slug>. The reports lane exists to make the directory legible — to surface what's happening on a human-readable timescale so journalists, partners, and homeowners can pattern-match without wading through the full changelog archive.

What's coming

Planned recap reports

The reports lane will grow with more cadences and angles. Slots already reserved for build:

  • /reports/quarterly-research-recap — a rolling 90-day digest of original ProFix research with sourcing and citation lines.
  • /reports/year-end — annual review covering every published research article, top permit-pull contractors of the year, coverage growth by county, and what shipped quarter-by-quarter.
  • Per-metro monthly recaps for Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, Toledo, and Findlay as the live permit pools fill in.
